After weeks of speculation about their future on “GMA3,” Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have been let go from the afternoon news program due to allegations of an affair. An ABC spokesperson said in a statement to USA TODAY, “After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News.
We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.” The decision comes after both anchors were temporarily removed from the program in December, due to the alleged affair being seen as a “distraction” for the network. T.J. Holmes filed for divorce from his wife Marilee Fiebig later that month.
